  • 1951: "Consultation Center for Radiation Protection and Dosimetry" at the Erlangen Medical Clinic Co-founder Prof. Dr. Felix Wachsmann
  • 1952: Private "Auswertungsstelle für Strahlendosimeter" in Erlangen (Director: Prof. Dr. Felix Wachsmann) as part of the "Working Group for Radiation Protection" with monitoring services in Freiburg (1952), Hamburg (1954) and Berlin (1954).
  • 1965: Relocation of private AWST to Neuherberg on the premises of the gsf (Gesellschaft für Strahlenforschung) (Prof. Dr. F. Wachsmann, Dr. G. Drexler)
  • 1969: Integration of AWST into gsf
  • 1979: Introduction of EDP (mainframe computer, DB CIS); replacement of the card index system
  • 1989: Integration of film monitoring service Karlsruhe into gsf-AWST
  • 1996: Dr. Wolfgang Wahl takes over management
  • 1998: Launch of an interactive web page for monitoring services as the first in Europe (DOSIMO)
  • 2001: Certified and accredited according to ISO 17025 as the first german monitoring service
  • 2004: Takeover of monitoring service in Hamburg
  • 2006: Integration of glass monitoring service Karlsruhe in gsf-AWST
  • 2008: Renaming from "gsf-Auswertungsstelle" in "Auswertungsstelle im Helmholtz Zentrum München"
  • 2008: Hamburg site becomes ISO 17025 certified and accredited
  • 2009: Relocation of AWST to the Siemens campus in Munich-Neuperlach
  • 2010: Launch of the free online-service DosiNet for electronic data exchange with the AWST
  • 2010: Introduction of our new film cassette, the so-called "Gleitschattenkassette GD-60"
  • 2011: Prof. (NRNUM) Dr. Christoph Hoeschen takes over the provisional management
  • 2013: Markus Figel takes over management
  • April 2020:  Mirion Technologies takes over AWST and continues under new name Mirion Technologies (AWST) GmbH. Markus Figel is appointed general manager.
